WP3 – Academic Preparation and Curricula Development aims to strengthen academic capacity and modernize educational offerings within the EQUALCity project by aligning university curricula with contemporary challenges in resilient, inclusive, and human-centred urban development. This work package focuses on the development and modernization of twelve existing university curricula through close collaboration with academic stakeholders, public institutions, and industry representatives to ensure relevance and applicability. In parallel, WP3 is dedicated to the design of eight new courses specifically addressing resilient and human-centred urban planning concepts. It also includes the organization of Training of Trainers (ToT) activities to enhance teaching capacities and ensure effective knowledge transfer. Furthermore, WP3 supports the formal recognition and accreditation of the newly developed and modernized curricula, thereby contributing to their long-term sustainability and institutional integration.
Objectives
- To modernize 12 existing university curricula and design 8 innovative coursesin urban planning with a focus on resilience and human-cantered approaches.
- To conduct training sessions for trainers to build capacity and ensure effective delivery of the updated and newly developed curricula.
- To secure formal recognition and accreditation for the proposed and modernized curricula, ensuring alignment with international academic standards.
